Deniz graduated with honours degree from Istanbul Bilgi University in Law (major) and Economics (minor). She has been providing competition law advice across many sectors since her graduation. Deniz has extensive knowledge of and experience on all aspects of competition law, antitrust, and public policy. Prior to joining Inal Law Firm, Deniz worked as an associate for several top-tier law firms located in Istanbul. Throughout her career she conducted many investigations including mergers and acquisitions, individual exemption, negative clearance, and competition law infringements. During her career, Deniz has participated in several investigations (including commitment and settlement processes) conducted by the Turkish Competition Authority and merger control proceedings in a wide range of areas that are mainly in FMCG, e-commerce, agriculture, pharmaceutical, energy, ticketing, optic, fertilizer, finance, automotive, biochemicals sectors and took an active role in compliance programs carried out in many companies – including multinational companies – operating in various sectors. She has represented various multinational and national companies on mergers and acquisitions, cartel investigations, anti-competitive vertical agreement claims and especially abuse of dominance cases before the Turkish Competition Authority. She has been participating to several seminars on competition law in various universities as a professional. Deniz currently provides advisory services to the clients regarding the day-to-day competition and compliance related matters, and all steps of proceedings before the Turkish Competition Authority. She also assists clients in the preparation of competition compliance programs and provides services in all aspects of the competition law in various sectors. Beside competition law, she specifically carries out public policy businesses by means of using her good relations with the governmental institutions.
